Welcome to Roy Christian Church

I'm New!

Here are some of the questions we are asked frequently:

How do I get to Roy Christian Church?  We are located at 4347 S 1900 W in Roy, just north of 4400 S., beside the Texaco Station on the West side of 1900.  We are across the street from the southwest corner of the Ogden Hinckley Airport.

What time should I arrive? On Sunday mornings, our service begins at 10:30am. If you love to sing traditional hymns you should show up at 10:15 for a beautiful musical prelude and a few congregational songs. We also serve snacks and coffee before the service begins! Please come a few minutes early to check your children into our morning programming and to find a seat.

Where should I park?  As you enter the campus from 1900 West, there are parking places near the office as well as behind the main building. Enter the building through one of the main sets of doors (under the drive through) and one of our greeters will assist you.

What's the service like?  We have live worship music for twenty minutes before (primarily traditional). At 10:30, we start the Facebook live-stream and share a few announcements and prayer updates, listen to a Bible-based message, followed by communion, and then we end the live-stream. We have fifteen to twenty more minutes of live worship music (mostly contemporary) before dismissing.

What is available for my kids?  At 10:30, we have programs for children of all ages.  Young children (Kindergarten and younger) and students in Grades 1-5 have classes in recently redecorated classrooms with new lighting, flooring, paint, and more. All children are checked into and out of secure areas, and all our children’s and youth ministry volunteers have passed background checks. Middle and high school students stay each week. On Wednesday nights, the youth group (grades 6-12) meets in the Worship Center from 6:30 to 7:45.

What if I don't know what I am supposed to do in church? We don’t include a lot of rituals at RCC, nor are there a lot of hidden expectations.  Even so, we have prepared a “worship cheat sheet” to guide our guests through a morning service, with a brief explanation of each segment of the service.  We won’t single you out or embarrass you and your family.

What should I expect?  You can expect clean, updated, comfortable facilities that are lovingly maintained. You can expect a worship service that is comfortable and relaxed.  You can expect Bible-based sermons and lessons that are designed to help and challenge people at different locations on their spiritual journey.  You can expect to hear something funny, touching, encouraging, or inspiring.  You can expect people who accept you for who you are—a child of God in need of His love and grace.

Will I fit in? You should come dressed in a way that is comfortable to you.  For some, that’s shorts, jeans, khakis, or a suit.  The chances are pretty good that you will see someone dressed just like you.  Have tattoos?  Piercings?  So do many of our regulars.  Your family is a “yours, mine, and ours” combo?  RCC is a church filled with people whose lives have been messy and difficult, people who struggle with addiction, people who have been cut off from family and friends, and people who have only recently begun to understand who Jesus is.  We strive to be as welcoming and accepting of others as God has been of us.  None of us is perfect, but we all have experienced God’s grace through Jesus!

What if I have more questions about the church? RCC is a family where you can ask all sorts of questions, where you can discover hope and meaning for life through Jesus, and where you can connect with others who are just like you.  We hope that you will want to come back again and again.

We hope to see you soon!
