Vanessa has 4 children, two teenagers, (one part time) and two in grade school. She met her husband, Shea, in Idaho. He works for Rocky Mt Power but is currently taking time off for med. reasons. She has always had some religious influence in her life, but had never even heard of having a relationship with Jesus until she walked into Roy Christian Church.  Shortly after becoming immersed and placing her membership, she became involved in Children's Ministry.  It wasn't long before those sticky little hugs won her heart, and she couldn't be pulled away.  

Vanessa was offered a part time position at Roy Christian as Children's Ministry Director in August of 2010, which she happily accepted, and has since realized how much more to ministry there is besides teaching.  She has also learned how heavily she relies on her family to also be involved in everything that she does.  The Lord has blessed her with a family that has learned to love ministry, especially where there was great potential to resent it.  Her husband is literally her right hand, she really couldn't do as much without his help.  When she is not running frantically around looking for lesson supplies or helping homeschool her kids, she is chasing the light to try to capture something, anything, on camera.  It doesn't happen very often, but she still enjoys learning everything she can about photography.
